Sophie and David travelled from the UK to celebrate their wedding at Markree Castle in County Sligo, bringing their family and friends together for a relaxed spring celebration in an Irish castle.
Sophie was seven months pregnant with their daughter, while the couple’s toy poodle Mimi joined the wedding party as a bridesmaid. It was a day shaped by family, personality and the excitement of a new chapter already beginning.
Their wedding was also featured by One Fab Day, celebrating Sophie’s bridal style, their growing family and the relaxed atmosphere of their Markree Castle wedding.

A Destination Celebration at Markree Castle
Sophie and David chose Markree Castle as the place to bring their family and friends together in Ireland. They had already completed their legal ceremony in the UK, leaving their day in Sligo free to feel personal, relaxed and entirely their own.
Sophie prepared downstairs at the castle with her bridesmaids, while David arrived later with his best man and ring bearer. There was no first look. Instead, they waited until the ceremony to see each other, with their friend leading a short and informal celebration surrounded by the people closest to them.
There were personal details everywhere. Sophie was seven months pregnant, their toy poodle Mimi joined the bridal party, and the day moved naturally from the ceremony into drinks, photographs around the castle, speeches on the staircase, dinner and an evening celebration.
