01

What is your photography style?

I spend 95 % of your wedding day documenting real moments as I love raw emotion and natural poses. As a documentary wedding photographer I would be capturing your day in an informal and unobtrusive manner catching beautiful moments that occur naturally on your wedding day. I keep posing to minimum but during your Bride & Groom session, I will step in and give you some directions and tips how to look the best on your wedding portraits. For example: I will advise you what to do with hands, in what direction to look at etc. A little help but the aim is to get beautiful, natural looking wedding portraits.

02

Can we still have some family groups and some beautiful portraits?

Yes of course. I’m a firm believer that a few groups of some of the key people at your wedding should be captured. Most couples keep it to between five and eight simple groups so they may enjoy the wedding that they have planned with their guests and not be fixed in front of a camera.

03

We want to book you, what's next?

To secure my services for your wedding date, a contract and €200 retainer (booking) fee are required. It’s that simple. Use this contact form or email me to get the process started!

04

How far in advance should we book you?

Most of my clients usually book weddings anywhere from 12 to 18 months in advance, however I have booked a weddings with less than 2 months notice. It is always best to inquire as you never know! Either way, the earlier you inquire, the more likely it is I am available.

05

What's included in your wedding packages?

I offer a few different packages depending on your needs for your big day. All collections include me as your head shooter and online gallery to share with family and friends. Premium Package includes complimentary engagement session as extra bonus. To see all the details please visit my Investment page. Every package can be customized to your needs.

06

What can I expect from my engagement session?

Engagement sessions are a great way for us to get to know one another, it will help you to feel comfortable in front of my camera and will give you an opportunity to preview my photography style. It will also give you a chance to see how you and your fiancé photograph together.

07

How long until my wedding photos are done?

It is my goal to deliver your online gallery within 30 days of your wedding. Certain times of the year are extremely busy and may push me out to 90 days. While I strive to deliver your images as quickly as possible, editing process takes lots of time and I don’t want to rush it just to make a delivery date. You will receive a link and a personal password to your online wedding photography gallery which you can share with family and friends.

It will allow you to view all images from the day, as well as selecting those you would like for your album or prints if needed. You’ll then be posted out a USB – hi-res, no watermarks of all images.

08

What is the process, if we choose to do an album?

First of all – you don’t have to decide on albums at the beginning. Approx 50 % of my couples decide to order an album after they have seen all the images.

After you have viewed and picked your images, I personally design the album layout to make it perfect and to ensure that it tells your wedding day story. Once the final draft is complete it usually takes 4-6 weeks for the album to arrive. What’s most important – I offer only the highest quality, hard covered, professional wedding albums made with thick, durable paper.

09

How many photos do I get?

I do not limit the amount of photos taken on your wedding day. A rough estimate would be around 800-1000 photographs. If a wedding is super strong in moments or details that number may be much higher as I don’t keep any good photos for myself;-) Extra photos means that I have to spent more time on editing and post-processing but I believe that benefits for my Couples are far greater then that:-)

10

Do you provide black and white images?

I shoot in colour, but during the editing process I might change some photos to black and white, depending on the look and feel of the photo. It’s not something that I do all the time so If you are a real fan of black & white photos, please let me know in advance and I’ll keep it in mind during editing process.

11

Do you back-up photos?

Yes but once you received your USB, I suggest that you make your own back-ups. It’s very important as USBs won’t last forever. They get lost, scratched, broken and with technology moving as fast as it is, we can’t say how long we will be able to use them for.

12

What type of camera / equipment do you use?

I shoot with professional Canon photographic equipment and shoot in RAW digital format on a full frame cameras. I carry a wide range of professional L series lenses and several flashes. My cameras are very sophisticated and can shoot in low light situations without a flash which is important for ceremony settings.

13

Are you insured?

Yes.

14

Where are you and do you travel for weddings?

Yes, absolutely! I live in Sligo and usually photograph on weddings in Sligo, Galway and Dublin but I’m available nationwide.

15

I’m planning a destination wedding abroad, how much do you charge for travel ?

I charge my standard rate + 2 nights of accommodation in a hotel (one day before your wedding and one day after) + flight ticket.

16

Do you take photos of details / flowers / decorations?

Yes. I feel that document your details is very important part of my work.

17

Can we provide you a list of ''requested photos''?

Yes but only for your family portraits, otherwise – no. If you are hiring me as your wedding photographer then I believe that you you like my style and trust me to document your day. The way I am able to create such natural and unique visual diaries of my couples’ wedding days is by staying creative and free.

18

Do you shoot video also?

No, I am a photography specialist only. Ask me and I will be happy to refer you to some great ones that I have worked with before.

19

Do we get to keep the digital negatives?

Yes. You will receive the high-resolution files with full print release.

20

Can we do our own printing or do we have to print through you?

I would really encourage you to print your photos through professional lab which is available only through photographer. However you can print wherever you’d like. The reason why I recommend print photos through your photographer is that there is such a huge difference in quality between a professional lab and commercial, widely available printing companies. It’s the same when it comes to albums.

21

Do you deliver all the images you shoot?

No I don’t. I remove duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other bad images.

22

What happens to my retainer (booking fee) if I need to change my wedding date, or cancel?

Your retainer is non-refundable in the case of cancellation. However, if you need to reschedule the retainer is transferable to the new date if I am available.
