Michaela & Charlie’s Wedding at Markree Castle
Michaela and Charlie celebrated their wedding at
Markree Castle
in March 2019, with both preparations, their ceremony and the reception taking place within the estate.
They wanted the photography to feel natural and unobtrusive, with plenty of genuine moments with family and friends and only a short portrait session. Their simple spiritualist ceremony took place in the castle chapel before everyone moved into the reception and evening celebrations.

More Time with Their Guests
Michaela and Charlie specifically wanted their portrait session to stay short, leaving more of the day for natural photographs with the people around them. Markree’s interiors and grounds made that possible, giving us several different settings without taking them away from their celebration for long.
Michaela & Charlie’s Wedding Story
Michaela and Charlie chose to keep the photography relaxed and uncomplicated. They wanted to spend as much of the day as possible with their guests, so the couple session was deliberately kept short and the focus stayed on natural moments, family and the atmosphere around them.
Their ceremony took place in the chapel at Markree Castle, followed by the reception within the estate. It is a good example of how a wedding at Markree can flow almost entirely in one location without needing a complicated schedule or long periods away from guests.
