MARKREE CASTLE DESTINATION WEDDING IN IRELAND
I’m so delighted to share with you a beautiful Destination Markree Castle Wedding in Ireland of Megan and Alex. They both headed from Minnesota to have their dream wedding day at Markree Castle, Sligo. I absolutely loved their energy and spark between them and since their pre-wedding session, I just knew they will make their wedding as relaxed as possible. I wasn’t wrong as they had the most chilled and stress free celebration. They got officially married in 2020 so their Ireland Destination Wedding was just a fun part of it – all the pressure was off, pandemic restriction lifted making a perfect time to enjoy! Megan got ready at Markee Castle‘s Bridal Suite which was a perfect location for ”getting ready” photos and Alex with his lads got ready in The Billiard Room of Markree Castle, overlooking Unshin River. The weather was gorgeous so I managed to shoot many pictures in the garden and we could go ahead with outdoor Drink Reception and Ceremony afterwords. Ceremony itself was quick, easy but beautiful, full of laughter and special moments. Megan and Alex were married leading by their friend, Alex’s sister was doing the readings, The Couple exchanged their own vows. I specially loved the moment when Bride and Groom’s mums lighted up the unity candles before Megan and Alex lighted their own. List of formal, group photos wasn’t too long but was a great fun. When it comes to music – I had a pleasure to meet Dj Tommy Elliott. Well, It was a fine challenge to keep still and do my job;-) We used and opportunity to get a photos with Roisin, Markree Castle’s Irish Wolfhound as she came to say ”Hallo” and stayed with us for a while. I loved flower decorations – beautiful job of Feehilys Florist – all the bouquets and flower arcades were just lovely. Megan decided to keep it classic and picked white and green flower’s colours, which was bright and elegant.
