Maha and Stephen chose Cabra Castle for an intimate and relaxed celebration built around the people closest to them. Both prepared at the castle before meeting for a first look, followed by portraits around the grounds and interiors before their guests arrived for the afternoon reception.

An Intimate Celebration at Cabra Castle
Maha and Stephen built their day around time together rather than a traditional ceremony schedule. With both of them getting ready at Cabra Castle, the morning led naturally into their first look before family photographs and a relaxed portrait session around the castle.
Their portrait time included several parts of the venue, including the castle grounds, courtyard and distinctive interior rooms. Having this time before the reception created space for photographs without having to rush from a ceremony into the rest of the day.
Later in the afternoon, friends and family joined them at Cabra Castle for the reception, with music from Dublin String Quartet, dinner, speeches and an evening celebration.

Cabra Castle offers very different settings within one venue, from atmospheric interiors to open grounds, courtyards and evening reception spaces. That variety allows the photography to move naturally with the day instead of relying on one fixed location.
My approach is to keep the experience relaxed while making use of the strongest light and locations available at the time. The aim is always to create a complete story that combines real moments with a small number of carefully considered portraits.
